DESCRIPTION: Anti-Aging Therapy

This program illustrates the tools that can be used to slow or even stop aging and maintain a younger appearance. Perceptions about aging are currently changing. Nowadays, people are living longer, happier, and healthier lives. Medical technology and care have significantly increased a person's lifespan. A growing number of individuals are taking part in implementing anti-aging technologies and adopting lifestyles that keep their bodies in prime physical conditions, increase the capacity and function of their brains, and benefit their emotional stability and well-being. Note that attitude plays a major part in a person's aging process.

This module is applicable to Specialist, Expert, Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. (Doctor) Programs. This distance learning degree program is designed at the postgraduate level – Master’s or Doctoral. This module may be easily adapted to complete the Specialist, Expert or Bachelor’s adult degree program requirements. A further option is the enrollment into the online university courses listed in this module.

Select 5 courses for the online diploma of Specialist or 7 courses for the Expert Diploma from the total of 14 courses from this specialization module in Anti-Aging Therapy.

 

Bachelor's Degree (B.A., B.S., B.B.A.) in Anti-Aging Therapy (130 Academic Credits)
42 credits for 14 Specialization Courses in Anti-Aging Therapydistance learning higher education.
+ 60 credits in General Education may be transferred from previous education and experience for the completion of this distance learning degree.
+ 28 credits or 9 additional online university courses that may be selected from other modules in the Faculty of Natural Health Science from Bircham International University. This selection must to be approved by the Distance Learning University Education Board.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION: Distance Learning Higher Education

This program is delivered by traditional correspondence instruction. Bircham International University will send to your address the physical program suggested textbooks. You will be requested to write 20 to 35 pages reports about these books. You submit these reports by email or mail. The reports are the course exams. Bircham International University will evaluate your required written work. If passed, you will earn the degree from Bircham International University. LANGUAGE OF STUDY:

This course studies the effect of physical activity stimuli on the development of health based on social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and biological principles. It explains how to design a healthy active program that promotes fitness, proper nutrition, and wellness.

Principles of Yoga

This course introduces the art and science of yoga. It explores its history and philosophy, current issues and trends, and health benefits. It examines the cultural aspects of yoga and its relevancy to modern day life and health.

Holistic Nutrition

This course explores the role of nutrition and diet in promoting a healthy mind, body, and spirit; preventing diseases; and maintaining wellness. It also discusses the interdependence between eating choices and environmental sustainability and the principles and practical uses of various alternative nutritional approaches. It also teaches how to differentiate between whole food and synthetic supplements.

Ayurveda - Science of Life

This course studies the role of philosophy in Ayurveda and how to distinguish different aspects of consciousness, health, and wellness from an Ayurvedic perspective. It explains the different constitutional types, basic physiological functions, the role of ayurvedic nutrition in health, and how to apply the concept of Agni in the context of digestion and metabolism for health maintenance. The history of Ayurveda is viewed in relation to the Vedas and its philosophy (Vedanta). This course shows how to promote healing and rejuvenation.

Natural Beauty

This course presents both ancient and modern secrets for beauty care using natural products. The aim is to elevate our understanding of beauty and cosmetics and to learn how to look and feel beautiful; without spending a fortune.

Therapeutic Exercise

This course proposes the use of exercise as a preventive and therapeutic tool. It demonstrates the physiological benefits of exercise in the correction of postural and structural body imbalances as well as the value of stretching, deep breathing, yoga, and aerobic and non-aerobic activities. It explains how therapeutic exercise can alleviate structural and physiological imbalances and maintain optimal health.

The Search for Meaning

This course focuses on the relationship between problems and the meaning individuals seeks in life. Distinction is made between philosophy and spirituality. It explores the stages of psychological and spiritual development of the individual and the methods for evoking meaning and purpose in life.

Colon Therapy

This course stresses on the significance of colon hygiene in health recovery and its effects on absorption and assimilation of nutrients, cleansing procedures and detoxification, colon hydrotherapy, parasites, and other related pathological disorders. It details the therapeutic programs designed to enhance or alleviate these situations.

Vitamins & Minerals

This course examines biologically essential minerals and vitamins and their absorption, transport, function, storage, excretion, imbalance, deficiency, and toxicity. It considers the dietary sources and role of minerals and vitamins in health, and the role of modern food technology on the availability of these nutrients in our food supply.

Nutrition in Aging

This course examines the interactions of nutrition with behavior, growth, and development of human populations and individuals; from infancy to adulthood and later years. It considers the physiological, psychological, social, cultural, and economic factors affecting nutrition in aging as well as the evaluation problems and strategies for health interventions.

Emotional Intelligence

This course delineates the five crucial skills of emotional intelligence, and shows how they determine our success in relationships, work, and even our physical well-being. What emerges is an entirely new way to talk about being smart. It explains why empathy, self-awareness, and self- discipline is essential to successful and positive human interaction. It provides an effective tool that can make our schedules, behaviors, and relationships more manageable.

Anti-Aging Therapy

This course shows the medical advancements, preventative care, and information about antiaging techniques that add years to our personal life expectancy. It explains the benefits of exercise, the importance of maintaining and increasing brain activity, and the vital needs of the body for water, vitamins, and minerals. It explores ancient antiaging remedies, the importance of hormones, antioxidants, and the truth about many cosmetic ingredients.

Wellness & Health

This course uses a holistic approach to wellness and health management. It shows how to assess our current wellness status and how to make improvements where necessary. Topics include physical activity, nutrition, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, sexuality, and spiritual wellness.

Spiritual Wellness

This course distinguishes between religion, theology, and spirituality. It discusses the developmental stages of an individual spirituality and its relationship with health from the world religions perspective. It evaluates the effectiveness of the practices used in spiritual wellness and investigates how spirituality affects people lives.
