BIU Student
When you become a member of the BIU student community, communication between you and the university will take place via the following channels:
1) Process Control form (by regular mail):
This document will inform you of your current administrative status and other formal requirements related to the completion of your degree program. All procedures - whether completed or pending - will be indicated in the Process Control form.
2) Academic Assignment Control form (AAC - by regular mail):
This form contains the details of the degree program assignments. It is also used to keep record of the work submitted, approved or not approved.
3) Study Guide (by mail, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or download it):
This contains a full explanation of the BIU Distance Learning System on our web page: how to study, the evaluation process, learning tips, etc. In some cases the guidelines appearing in the Study Guide will be complemented by other instructions provided in the above mentioned forms.
4) School Certificate and ID Card (by registered mail):
Enrollment Certificate and Student ID card are sent at the beginning of the program.
5) Receipt and Invoice (by regular mail):
A receipt is issued and sent at the beginning of the program as a proof of the first payment. The final bill will only be issued when all the payments have been completed, or at the end of the fiscal year (including all the payments cancelled up to that date). You should notify the BIU Delegation if you require additional bills or receipts during the year.
6) Advising (by mail, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone):
* Formal advising: Questions the student may have concerning the way to format or present the written assignments, as well as any administrative procedure should be addressed to the Delegation.
* Academic advising: Doubts concerning textbook comprehension, knowledge level, etc., should be also addressed to the corresponding BIU Delegation, which will forward the question to the appropriate member of the Academic Board and/or teacher's team. The Academic Board is the only authority that may modify, add, or delete any bibliography and/or assignments from an academic syllabus.
7) Personal Service:
BIU offers the multiple communication channels described above in order to continuously improve the service quality and the performance of our Delegations. However, BIU’s intention is not to develop an impersonal and detached distance learning experience so we do encourage our students to contact us and share their questions, comments and suggestions.
Kind regards,
