This course discusses the constituents of the musculo-skeletal system (muscles and bones) while integrating the principles of anatomy with the theoretical techniques of palpation, as particularly applied to the muscular system. It explains the process of palpation of bony landmarks and superficial muscles.

This course combines the properties of essential oils with massage therapy to restore and enhance health, beauty, and overall well-being. It integrates two of the oldest forms of therapy, aroma and massage, to calm, relieve, nurture, and balance the patient´s body, mind, and soul.

Massage Techniques
This course examines the use of massage as a therapeutic practice for the remedy of various ailments, pathologies, deformities, disorders, and pain. It highlights the principles of different massage techniques used in the Western and Oriental cultures and explains how massage synergistically work with other therapies to promote healing.

Physical Therapy
This course comprehensively explores the use of physical therapy for treating body injuries, weaknesses, and defects. It stresses on various techniques such as massage, exercise and gymnastics in addition to the use of light, heat, cold water, and mechanical devices. It highlights the physiological benefits of exercise in correcting structural imbalances and the value of stretching, deep breathing, yoga, aerobic, and non-aerobic activities for maintaining optimum health.

Meridians Anatomy
This course revises the theory of Meridians, the internal and external courses of the Twelve Meridians, the Eight Extra Meridians, the Collateral, and the Muscle/Tendon Meridians. It studies the acupoints of the major Meridians from a corporal anatomical and topographical perspective. It highlights the micro-system acupuncture points found in the ear system.

This course presents the major principles of acupoint selection and their application to the treatment of various diseases. According to the theory of Tui-Na (manipulative therapy); acupressure stimulates the acupuncture points located on the meridian pathways of the body and facilitate healing through the movement of Qi energy.

This course analyzes body motion, motor learning, and performance. The principles of biomechanics are applied to: muscle mechanics, the evaluation of body motion efficiency, postural and soft tissue dynamics, and prescription exercise.

After reading the book, you will be asked to write a 20 to 35 pages report that reflect your understanding of the book. This report is equivalent to the exam and can be submitted by email or mail.
