This distance learning education program is completed by a traditional correspondence instruction method. Once you sign up for the course, Bircham International University will send you (to your mailing address) the suggested textbooks. After reading the book, you will be asked to write a 20 to 35 pages report that reflect your understanding of the book. This report is equivalent to the exam and can be submitted by email or mail. Bircham International University will evaluate your written work. If passed, BIU will issue the corresponding diploma. Duration - Performance Psychology Online via distance learning

For a program of 21 credits, the estimated time for completion is 21 weeks. For 45 credits, the estimated time for completion will be 45 weeks, and so on. Calculations are approximate. The length of each distance learning degree program is calculated based on an average of 15 hours of learning per week. It also depends on the number of validated credits from previous knowledge and the level of commitment to the studies.

This course addresses the quantitative and qualitative changes that occur during physical growth as well as the development of the movement skills through a person's lifespan. It analyzes the observational techniques used to identify the basic movement patterns and considers the motor patterns of children, adults, and elders.

This course introduces the theory, the empirical research, and the applied issues in developmental psychology. It discusses the social, psychological, cultural, emotional, and spiritual aspects of development and stresses on the applications of these theories to counseling. Students are encouraged to revisit their own developmental path.

Child Observation & Guidance
This course provides guidance to observe children in structured and unstructured situations, to record these observations, and how to use them to assess the strengths and needs of individual children. Guidelines include how to properly conduct observations, keep records, and assess data for curriculum planning.

Senses Awareness & Development
This course examines the connection between the senses, the body, and the mind that lead to the development of self-awareness. It investigates various techniques that allow the perception of internal forces and their direction to acquire more body control and internal energy flow. This course explores the processes of social and personality development. It focuses on four key areas of research: cognition, attachment theory, language development, and moral development. It also addresses the issues and debates about the role of genes, gender, socialization, and neurological development as interacting forces that affect how infants and children acquire self/other awareness, identity, and social competence.

Cross Cultural Social Perspectives
This course studies the similarities and differences of cultures. It teaches students the skills of communication, negotiation, and managing cultural differences. It provides a cross cultural social perspective to deal effectively with individuals from varied cultures in different situations.

Organizational Leadership
This course develops an understanding of oneself and of others as both individuals and group members. It examines individual coaching, group motivation and leadership, team building, and behavioral processes at the individual, group, and inter-group level. This course examines the major decisional areas to establish goals and determines strategies. It deals with the dynamic conditions of uncertainty and risk characterizing the environment of modern organizations. Crisis Counseling
This course provides knowledge and training in crisis counseling, with emphasis on psychological crisis assessment techniques and crisis intervention strategies. Various types of crises are reviewed: emergencies, overdose, relapse, violence, suicide, abuse, anxiety, and phobias.
