Noetic Science via distance learning

This program provides a multidisciplinary study that brings together scientific tools and techniques with subjective inner knowing to study the nature of reality. Noetic derives from the Greek, and it means "intellectual," "to think" and "mind." Noetic Science studies the conjunction of intellectual and spiritual capabilities, of thinking and knowing, to reach a better understanding of human potential for personal and planetary transformation.

Energy: Beyond the Physical Self
This course explores the commonality between conventional physical wellness and good health. It explains how multidimensional wellness and nontraditional bioenergetics therapies play a role in our mental, emotional, and physical health. It discuses the relationship between health and the meaning of life.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Senses Awareness & Development
This course examines the connection between the senses, the body, and the mind that lead to the development of self-awareness. It investigates various techniques that allow the perception of internal forces and their direction to acquire more body control and internal energy flow. It describes how to develop personal senses to enhance self-perception and become a better therapist.
Academic Supervisor: Radwani Houda

Perception & Knowledge
This course examines the complex process by which information is gathered by our sensory organs and converted to a subjective precept. The acquisition and communication of knowledge demands a coherent cognitive framework to reason about the events and states that influence us. The course deals with plausible frameworks and how these choices influence our deductive and creative processes.
Academic Supervisor: Román Gonzalvo Pérez

The Search for Meaning
This course focuses on the relationship between problems and the meaning individuals seeks in life. Distinction is made between philosophy and spirituality. It explores the stages of psychological and spiritual development of the individual and the methods for evoking meaning and purpose in life.
Academic Supervisor: Agusti Guisasola Prados

Mind, Body & Spirit
This course highlights the importance of the interconnection between mind, body, and spirit. It discusses different practices of stress management, meditation, guided imagery, physical exercise, art expression, and biofeedback related to emotional states, wellness, and disease.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Consciousness Studies
This course of consciousness studies builds a bridge between science and religion in order to assess that there is much more to human life than can be seen at the level of neurons. Consciousness may be defined as the perception of something of internal or external existence. This course reviews different perspectives of the nature of consciousness and why consciousness is not a simple problem to deal with.
Academic Supervisor: Radwani Houda

Psychology of Perception
This course deals with the theories of perception, perceptual phenomena, and the complex process by which information is gathered by our sensory organs and converted to a subjective precept. It focus on the current findings of neuroscience and psychology, with emphasis on sensation, attention, meaning, and structural concepts.
Academic Supervisor: Fernando Miralles

Human Consciousness
This course examines the human consciousness. The brain appears to be a complicated organ that register and channel consciousness rather than produce it. Consciousness, the subjective experience of an inner self; could be a phenomenon forever beyond the reach of neuroscience. Even a detailed knowledge of the brain's workings and the neural correlation of consciousness may fail to explain how or why human beings have self-aware minds.
Academic Supervisor: Román Gonzalvo Pérez

Extrasensory Experiences
This course argues that despite the absence of scientific proves of extrasensory experiences, there are strong convergent arguments in their favor. Human consciousness can exist independent of brain-activity. Widely reported supernatural abilities and extrasensory experiences cannot be attributed to the mere functioning of the physical brain.
Academic Supervisor: Román Gonzalvo Pérez

Extrasensory Deceits
This course examines why scientists, philosophers, and theologians have held parapsychology in disdain. It also investigates the tricks and deceits used to simulate several parapsychological phenomena and the means used for the rigorous study and assessment of parapsychological experiments.
Academic Supervisor: Román Gonzalvo Pérez

Dream Studies
This course of dream studies explores what dreams are and how they are produced. Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep, when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake. Dreams may occur during other stages of sleep. There are different stages and types of dream that are also associated with the different brain waves.
Academic Supervisor: Frances Chelos Lopez

Lucid Dreaming
This course of lucid dreaming studies the dreams during which the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming. During a lucid dream, the dreamer may gain some amount of control over the dream characters, narrative, and environment. Lucid dreaming typically happens during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, but it may also be triggered by mediation, day dreaming and visualization techniques.
Academic Supervisor: Susana Merino Lorente

States of Consciousness
This course focuses on waking up, sleeping, and dreaming as examples of conscious states from the perspectives of neurology, physiology, psychology, and cognitive neuroscience. It reviews the major models of consciousness philosophy and provides a detailed examination of attention.
Academic Supervisor: Frances Chelos Lopez

Philosophy of Mind
This course examines the central problems of mind philosophy from a multi-disciplinary perspective, including the mind-body problem, the nature of mental states, intention and representation, sensation and consciousness, and related topics.
Academic Supervisor: Agusti Guisasola Prados

Metaphysics
This course examines problems such as the concepts of existence, essence, god, universals and particulars, the nature of change, possibility, causation, space, and time. Also, it discusses other traditional philosophical issues that form part of metaphysics namely free will, mind/body problem, soul, consciousness, and the existence of abstract entities (e.g. numbers).
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Noetic Science
This course explores the human potential for personal and planetary transformation. Noetic science may involve intuition, insight, psychic or mystical awareness. It studies the different aspects of "inner knowing" to a better understanding of human consciousness and reality.
Academic Supervisor: Agusti Guisasola Prados
