This course of digital privacy examines the rights of individuals to determine how their digital information is collected and used, to exist freely on the internet, and to choose what types of information they are exposed to. In this context, communication privacy states the right to communicate information digitally with the expectation that those communications are secure and only accessible to the sender's original intended recipient. Digital Privacy encompasses information privacy, communication privacy, and individual privacy.

Industrial Protection & Espionage
This course provides a framework for understanding industrial and/or economic espionage and inquires into technological and management approaches to their prevention and detection. It reviews current theories on cyberterrorism and explores the range of responses which organizations may use. It also examines a broad range of computer security issues and computer crime prevention.

Occupational Safety & Health
This course explores the specific hazards associated with major industries. Subjects covered include machine guarding, electrical safety, systems safety analysis, materials handling, and working at heights. It examines methods of integrating safety and industrial hygiene programs into industrial operations. Philosophic issues related to industrial safety and health such as responsibility for safety, dependency on safe practice, and hierarchy of prevention are also investigated.

This course of cyber security studies the options to protect the integrity of a computer’s internet-connected systems, hardware, software and data from cyber-attacks. This course explores data communication security techniques and data encryption. This distance learning education program is completed by a traditional correspondence instruction method. Once you sign up for the course, Bircham International University will send you (to your mailing address) the suggested textbooks. After reading the book, you will be asked to write a 20 to 35 pages report that reflect your understanding of the book. This report is equivalent to the exam and can be submitted by email or mail. Bircham International University will evaluate your written work. If passed, BIU will issue the corresponding diploma.
